York River Stewardship Committee Meeting: The York River Stewardship Committee was formed in 2023 with town-appointed members from Eliot, Kittery, South Berwick, and York, following Congressional designation of the York River and its tributaries into the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System. The Stewardship Committee coordinates implementation of the York River Watershed Stewardship Plan to protect water quality and preserve and enhance the many ecological, historical, and cultural resources of the watershed.
